Connecting your printers
1. Connect your printer to the internet
There are several ways you can connect your printer:
- Wired Ethernet cable (internet) - RECOMMENDED because they are connected directly to your router and is therefore most reliable
- Wi-Fi - available but will go into sleep mode if the device is not used for an extended period of time, to save energy. This can result in some tickets not being printed.
- Bluetooth - available but same as Wi-Fi
- USB - only recommended when you only want to connect one device to your printer
The S1F2 terminal also contain a printer which can be used for receipt printing.
Wired connection
- Connect the printer to the Ethernet cable
- In the Tebi App on your tablet, go to Settings, then Printing.
- Go to Printer selection and choose the printer you just connected with the ethernet cable. If you see a Searching message, be patient as it may take a minute for the printer to appear.
- After selecting the printer, press Print test receipt.
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections
- Connect the (Bluetooth / Wi-Fi) printer via your tablet’s settings. Consult your printer and/or device’s manual if you’re having trouble.
- In the Tebi App on your tablet, go to Settings, then Printing.
- Go to Printer selection and choose the printer you previously connected. If you see a Searching message, be patient as it may take several minutes for the printer to appear.
- After selecting the printer, press Print test receipt.
2. Select printer jobs (receipt or prep tickets)
In Tebi, printers can be used for receipts and for Prep Station orders.
- Go to the Printer selection and Scroll down to view all the printer jobs
- Click on the printer job to select the printer that you would like to use
- When selected, click on the settings wheel to set the number of receipts, margin and the font size
3. Receipt settings
To further customize the information on the receipts:
- Go to Settings > Printing
- Update the address shown on the receipt in the Receipt customization section.
- The Tagline allows you to add a custom message. This will be shown at the bottom of the receipt.
- Add a logo by pressing Upload business logo.
- If you would like to show a QR Payment code on receipts, turn on the QR payments toggle.
- Print a ticket number on receipt. You have the following options:
- Disable (ticket number will not appear on receipt)
- Two digits
- Three digits
- Show name of staff member on the receipt or prep station ticket by turning on the toggle.
- Show sale and product notes on receipts by turning on the toggle.
- Turn on the Show the payment receipt toggle to print payment receipts. You will get two options:
- Print customer receipt - copy of receipt for the customer
- Print merchant receipt - copy of receipt for (you) the merchant as a card holder
